About the show
Four adults – Madara, Asnāte, Maija, and Toms – return to the town where they spent their teenage years together. As they recall their experiences in the early 2000s, they unravel past events and reveal what truly made Madara leave after the eighth grade.
By reenacting both the comic and tragic scenes from the past, they view their teenage selves and their lives through adult eyes, concluding that trusted figures – among parents and teachers, as well as peers – could have changed everything.
Although part of the performance takes place in 2007, many of the issues portrayed remain relevant for young people today – the desire and attempts to fit in, the search for oneself alongside friends while breaking away from the family nest, as well as finding one’s own special, perhaps secret, place when there is nowhere else to gather.
The performance is suitable for audiences aged 14 and up.
