About the show
Will she be on wealthfare? Will she be the one who robs a store? Will she rent an apartment from you to screw you over later? Will she be someone's daughter in law, wife, mother? Will her child will be taken away from her? Does that mean she doesn't know how to live?
The performance by new stage artists Laila Burāne and Laura Upeniece is a story based in true crimes about a young girl's attempts to live in a world and a society, in which the rules and the tools of the game are not equal for everyone.
“Pelmeni and cigarettes” invites you to look into an experience which we usually try to avoid, to believe something which would be easier not to believe in, to have a conversation about the worth of human beings, our responsibility to each other.
Strange smells might spread during the show.
This performance is suitable for children over 14 y/o.
