About the show
This show depicts the philosophically timeless and ever-relevant eternal struggle between this life and the afterlife, touching upon our collective fears of our own helplessness in the face of war and climate change, as well as the desire to preserve pure love and joy for future generations.
Accepting one's feebleness is one of the most visually impressive productions by Dirty Deal Teatro, as it, along with its sound score, surprises with stage effects and tricks. The show is based on the assumption that the black box of the theater is an emptiness in which any new world can be born.
In this object-based performance, artist Reinis Suhanovs poses the question: what should theater art be like in a time when headlines are dominated by news of death, tragedies, and devastation? Should it be cruel, romantic, comforting, healing, or ironic to capture the audience's attention and perhaps help them "digest" the reality of what is happening?
