The reading series “Sex and Latvia” invites a conversation about a topic that is important to us all, even if not always comfortable. Artists are given complete freedom — in both form and content — because one of art’s tasks is to address still underexplored themes, in this case examining sexuality as both a broader and a deeply personal phenomenon.

After each reading, there will be a discussion with the audience, moderated by dramaturge Linda Rudene and enriched with professional insight and expertise by clinical psychologist Kristīne Balode, who specializes in relationship therapy and sexology. Questions, comments, and opinions are very welcome — they will help the authors develop their ideas and help all of us become a little freer in speaking about sexuality.
